Who are we?
We are the Camas Washougal Aviation Association (C.W.A.A.), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that promotes general aviation in the community.
C.W.A.A. supports the long term operation and survival of Grove Field Airport in the Fern Prairie area in Camas, WA.
C.W.A.A. is made up of dedicated members who mentor future pilots, fundraise for the C.W.A.A. Scholarship Program for college students entering into the aviation field or for students interested in attending our Summer Aviation Camp, our members also work closely with the local community and nationwide organizations to promote aviation.
Best of all, not all members of C.W.A.A. are pilots, or own their own plane; you just need to want to have fun and be around a great group of people and aviation (of course). If this sounds like something you would be interested in, then this organization is for you. Come join us!
Interested in what we are all about?
Come join us!
The public is welcomed to join us at our monthly meetings, to see what we are all about.
You do not have to be a pilot, or own a plane to be a member, just be interested in Aviation and join in the fun things we do in and around our community.
Our meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at Grove Field Airport (generally at Jim Metzger's hangar). The meeting begins at 6:30 pm with a potluck dinner. The business meeting follows at 7:00 pm.
Note: There will be no regular potluck or business meeting on December 1, 2011 in deference to the December 3 CWAA Christmas party.
Listed below are a few fun things that C.W.A.A. members are involved in:
